HP2g (110 MPG Vehicle/Progressive Automotive X PRIZE Contender)
[edit]The Progressive Automotive X PRIZE is a very worthy competition and is something that the world needs to embrace. It is events like this that spur creative thinking to find better ways for us as humans to leave a smaller imprint on our planet. Our flagship HP2g™ runs on E85, which is a green, alcohol-based fuel that significantly reduces green house gas emissions. We have worked hard to build a vehicle that would meet the requirements of the X PRIZE. Team HP2g started by using the V8 platform. In testing we are able to have both economy and power to pass the traffic. At this time we are focuse of this project is testing to be more consumer friendly.
Major Milestones Achieved
- Identification of clear market need for larger horsepower engine with 100MPGe capability and lowest emissions that will not cause a complete change in the refueling and component part manufacturing infrastructures.
- In discussions with automotive OEMs. on licensing or royalty contract.
- Letters of Intent secured from Specialty Car companies for purchase of the engines planned for our first two years of production
- Mileage performance verification by cross-country road test in October/November, 2008 (SEMA GREEN Zone)
- RFQ’s have been submitted to approved manufacturing companies for a cost per unit production quote
- Outsourced component part suppliers in place. All are U.S. companies.
- Competitor analysis undertaken to establish uniqueness of HP2G, LLC products
- Vast media exposure achieved on NBC, CNN, CBS, ABC and print media
- After-market customer base already established and growing
- Development of Business Plan
- Strategic Alliances for manufacturing in progress
