This account, Family history buff, has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia, because your username does not meet our username policy.

Your username is the only reason for this block. You are welcome to choose a new username (see below).

A username should not be promotional, related to a "real-world" group or organization, misleading, offensive, or disruptive. Also, usernames may not end in the word "bot" unless the account is an approved bot account.

Please choose a new account name that meets our policy guidelines. However, do not create a new account if you wish to credit your existing contributions to a new name through a username change. To request a username change:

  1. Add {{unblock-un|your new username here}} below. You should be able to edit this talk page even though you are blocked. If not, you may wish to contact the blocking administrator by clicking on "E-mail this user" on their talk page.
  2. At an administrator's discretion, you may be unblocked for 24 hours to file a request.
  3. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a list of names that have already been taken. For more information, please see Wikipedia:Changing username.
If you feel that you were blocked in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

Allowing username change to Family history buff (talk · contribs). Please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking.

We are trying to change our user name to comply with your guidelines.

I am unhappy with your use of the word "we" in the above comment. In wikipedia, group accounts are also disallowed, and one account is meant to be wholly and only used by one person. Are you preared to accept this stipulation? --Anthony.bradbury"talk" 19:07, 21 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry - I didn't mean to offend or imply that I am a group account. As a married person, I very often us the term 'we' instead of 'I' as I feel we are one person. Yes, I accept your stipulation.

Hmm... personally, I would have (and perhaps should have?) recommended simply registering a new account, as you really don't have any substantive contributions on this account. ダイノガイ千?!? · Talk⇒Dinoguy1000 07:36, 23 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your article submission Beachwood

[edit]

Hello Family history buff. It has now been over six months since you last edited your article submission, entitled Beachwood.

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note, however, that Articles for Creation is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia:Articles for creation/Beachwood}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. -- t numbermaniac c 02:07, 22 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
