Looking for sources on the Juan Dolio history, specifically relating to how Hurricane Georges affected tourism in the city. Is it known how the disaster affected the tourism from Santo Domingo to the Juan Dolio? There is mention that since the government funds for renewal in the area there are increased visits on weekends, is that because they are local? What were the renewals made to the area and did these changes contribute to the increase in weekend visits?
Any information(sources,experience,etc) on these topics would be greatly appreciated!
