Amnokgang vs Yalu River

Why do you keep replacing English with Korean in an English Wikipedia? Per policy common names, only the common English name is used on this Wikipedia. Since the English publications from the South Korea Ministry of National Defense translates Amnokgang as Yalu River and Incheon as Inch'on, is there any reason why you keep making the changes?

Even if there are problems with English names, why do you keep picking on the article Battle of Chosin Reservoir? The article Yalu River and Battle of Inchon are the proper place for name conventions, not the article Battle of Chosin Reservoir.

And finally as a note of wiki etiquette, if people keep reverting your contributions on Wikipedia, please discuss it on the article talk page before reinsert it again. Jim101 (talk) 14:37, 10 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

First of all, I apologize that I kept editing the names on your contribution. To be honest, I'm not familiar with how Wikipedia works yet. (That's why I'm writing this comment on your discussion here. Haven't found how to send you a msg.) So, I thought my work wasn't saved and I had to do it over and over to have the edition done. As for the change, I happened to see the names in need of correction only on the article. I didn't pick on your article on purpose. Yalu River that you explained as an English name is the orthography in English of the Chinese name. As the whole post was about the war that broke out in South Korea, I thought it needed the correction. Same with the name for the city, Incheon. Each government has its own orthography in English of its city. For example, the local government of the Incheon city has its official website which is www.incheon.go.kr.

Hope you don't think it was intentionally done. Sorry for the changes but I hope you understand that they're in need of correction. Thank you.
