Ancient coins

[edit]

Hi. Thanks for your comment. I agree with you that this is a much neglected but important area. If you can help in any way please just wade in. Jack1956 (talk) 21:06, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Will do, I was waiting a long time for someone like you to arrive. Fiddler7 (talk) 21:08, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again. Thanks for saving the prutah article...I don't know what those idiots were thinking of. You turn your back for 5 minutes and some one deletes something you've spent ages on! Jack1956 (talk) 18:20, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
And still proud of it; displaying on their pages "Patroller of some kind". I guess some people get their kicks from destoying other peoples work instead of building. Fiddler7 (talk) 18:27, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hi, me again. As you see, slow and painful progress is being made on the articles...thanks for your input in tidying up and adding facts. I'll have a look at Yehud coinage, but it's a little out of my area of interest/expertise, so it will probably only be a stub. Am off to Cyprus Thursday for 5 days on research project, so won't be started until after then. Cheers. --Jack1956 (talk) 07:09, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hi. Have had a go at Yehud coinage. Please feel free to pull it around any way you want. Jack1956 (talk) 21:05, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Great Jewish Revolt

[edit]

Greetings and thank you for adding those useful links to the GJR & other articles, but shouldn't the syntax be [[First Jewish-Roman War|Great Jewish Revolt]], to avoid redirect? Just wondering. Hertz1888 (talk) 19:09, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's fine with me if you change it. I thought this was closer to how it is called in real life, even if it is a redirect. Fiddler7 (talk) 19:12, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That designation (GJR) is all that will show. For example, Great Jewish Revolt (goes directly). It's not for me to go back through all those articles and change it, but thought you might want to know if adding it to additional articles. Cheers, Hertz1888 (talk) 19:51, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I misunderstood initially what you meant; I'll change them. Fiddler7 (talk) 20:06, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
