Hi,

I have approved you for AutoWikiBrowser. You can download it from here. Good luck!   jj137 02:39, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Karl Filiga

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Infobox_Football_biography As this is the template that our rugby league infobox is derived from I thought it relevant that it states 'list of professional clubs that the player has been contracted at'. For an example of this you could look at David Unsworth and Paul Dalglish.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Infobox_rugby_league_biography shows that same detail. Contracted rather than game time. Matt King is another case 'in 2003, signing with the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks'

Have left Karl Filiga previous club years alone at this point, although he was eligible to play in 2007, it's just injuries prevented him. Londo06 (talk) 16:33, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

  • Okay I fully understand that viewpoint. Perhaps the infobox could use attention to include this detail, beyond the Doggies simply being his youth team or not on at all, despite him being contracted to the club. I think it would be relevant to show where a player was 'schooled' in rugby league, despite not featuring. I think a discussion on the subject would be relevant to help flesh out articles, rather than rein them in. Londo06 (talk) 16:54, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
Found this discussion on your talk page after reviewing a few edits and also having a similar issue on the rugby infobox. I would agree that it is relevant where a player had a professional contract. I have found the same issue on the rugby infobox and the infobox has been altered to include both youth and amateur clubs. Perhaps something similar is possible here. Also on the league infobox is where does an NRL players time in the Queensland Cup go, if he was dropped down to the lower grades it isn't his youth side. I know this is an individuals talk page but it seems like it warrants attention. Alexsanderson83 (talk) 04:44, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Matthew Wurth

Could you tell me more informations about him please? Was he born on May the 17th 1960? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.205.143.209 (talk) 22:46, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

Replying here as there's no username - no, I don't have any information on Matthew Wurth other than that which is on his article page. Florrieleave a note 00:27, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

Could you tell me how did you get these informations about him? It's very important because I search him (He may be my father!) Thank you very much for your answer.

I am sorry but I'm french so there are probably some errors. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.38.96.12 (talk) 11:33, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

He played only a few matches for this club. Match records are here. I can't help other than that, I'm sorry. Florrieleave a note 11:52, 4 January 2008 (UTC)

Greg Waddell

why was my greg waddell page deleted. He is a future greg inglis or israel folau! can you please make a wikipedia thing of him. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Iestynharris (talkcontribs) 12:28, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Rodney Davies

He isn't notable. I should have probably kept the db-bio tags on. I've suggested that he be included in the AfD for Mark Offerdahl, since the issues are essentially the same. Cheers Mostlyharmless (talk) 12:05, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

No worries. I withdrew suggestion and re-CSD'd it. I took the tags off because I thought a NRL player was being CSD'd [!], and you don't get much time with some deletions, but playing in the lower grades is of little note. Mostlyharmless (talk) 12:12, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
Since it isn't WP:PROD (as Rondo06 has disputed the tag), perhaps you could send it to AfD? Mostlyharmless (talk) 22:13, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Perth Meetup

I noticed you declined is there an issue that can be addressed as the date isnt set in stone, neither is the location. Gnangarra 14:56, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

there isnt many editors that I know of out your way, though there is a good selection of drinking establishments so maybe we could get the numbers for quiet weekend. Any time you are in the Perth area and would like to meetup with some of us here let me know and I'll organise something. On a side issue are you able to take and upload photographs as I'm sure there are many articles that could use some. Gnangarra 15:08, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
Not so much the towns but more the Flora, vegetation, small creatures lizards, frogs, insects. What happen now is that some other ediotrs who also watch this page may add some requests. Kambalda, Western Australia, Widgiemooltha, Western Australia (no article yet) Bonnie Vale, Western Australia Transwa Prospector Great Eastern Highway at first glance could do with some, last two have Perth end pictures nothing your end.(cross posted response, as there will be others also interested in this) Gnangarra 15:30, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

Flags for Hottest 100 2007.

Thanks for your comment. Does it constitute an official ruling, or do I need to wait for more support to reinstate the flags?

Thanks --Irrevenant [ talk ] 05:17, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

The objection was that it cluttered the article. I don't think it did, but that's subjective so I'll wait for more comments. Thanks. --Irrevenant [ talk ] 23:54, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

Heath Ledger

Florrie, it is all over the Internet who Heath's step parents and half siblings are, why did you delete what I wrote. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Squeekysue (talkcontribs) 13:27, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

A subject could well be 'all over the internet' but without a verifiable, reliable source the information may not be included in a WP biography. See WP:RELY and WP:BLP. Cheers, Florrieleave a note 22:01, 28 January 2008 (UTC) (x-post)

Craig Stapleton (rugby league)

Updated to British template as he is playing for Salford in the UK.Londo06 (talk) 16:01, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Cheers, missed that. Florrieleave a note 22:04, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Ted Goodwin

I finally got to expanding that article you started on Lord Ted. (PS. Good to see that sanity prevailed on the Mark Offerdahl matter) -Sticks66 (talk) 08:41, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

Well it certainly evidences the assertion "he battled club officialdom throughout his career" !! What do you think ? Should we add this detail to the article or let just his playing legacy tell his story ? - Sticks66 (talk) 09:31, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

Greenwood cricket club

What's the deal with stepping in and wanting our club page deleted...it's just utter b.s that you would consider it just for fun or "unnotable'....95% of articles on Wiki are unnotable. It's just sad that on a site that is meant for people to put information about what is near and dear to them on the world wide web, that someone like yourself and the others...would deem it not worthy of a Wiki page. Good on you buddy, Wiki is free from a lower grade cricket club, but still full of fictional facts about g-Grade celebrities. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.91.84.91 (talk) 15:10, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

If you think wikipedia is here for people to put information about what is near and dear to them I can only suggest you are confusing it with facebook or livejournal. If it's a passion, start a webpage. If it's notable, start a wikipage. Florrieleave a note 22:01, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

convert & cm

I fully understand the idea , the only issue is that we use both feet and m to describe height. It's certainly something that is worthy of debate as cm is the primary unit for height in Aus.Londo06 08:55, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

I generally use for UK-based players (6 ft 4 in (1.93 m)) and 193 cm (6 ft 4 in) for NRL players to make sure they are in the right order, but it is definitely something to consider.Londo06 09:03, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
