I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Judges Guild, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. Thanks for the editing work. I see from the slider this is a topic that has received a fair bit of attention since Feb 2020. It appears there's little available sourcing for the person. The whole controversy revolves around that person's social media posts from the beginning, so I suppose it may be hard to find suitable links as described in WP's requirements. Fully support those, it's very important to protect the quality of the WP information.

But, wondering if leaving the name of the person off my entry would have passed muster. I can see that social media and blog type links are relatively weak, but if the paragraph focuses on the business ties being cut and not the underlying reason for the ties being cut, maybe there are more news/reliable source links available. Not sure, it's just a passing issue that I learned about 3 years ago and thought it was a good addition to the Judges Guild page. Thanks again Fmischler (talk) 03:53, 22 March 2023 (UTC)

I'd say that in general, yes, when the claims don't involve living people, we might use some lesser (but still reliable) sources. Where it gets tricky is that, for all intents and purposes, Judges Guild is Bob Bledsaw II, meaning that any controversial or negative claims about the company's activities are still effectively about him. The main issue is that, like you said, there's really no coverage of this whole thing in mainstream sources. It's unfortunate because it's relevant and something you'd expect to see in an encyclopedia article about the company. Someone tries adding it now and then and it always sends me looking for sources, thinking maybe there's something new—but there never is. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ If you do ever find something, feel free to let me know and I'll gladly add it myself!
