Map

[edit]

The map you're trying to add to anteater is wrong, it makes it seem like the two families have mutually exclusive ranges. No image is better than an inaccurate one. AryKun (talk) 06:32, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

how does it look like it’s mutually exclusive? There are two colors, red and blue, and the purple which covers large parts of the map are where they overlap. I can draw the map such that the range overlap is shown by dotted or striped lines so it’s more obvious but i base the information off the range map for each species , so if it is wrong it’s the original map that’s wrong. If it’s not then this is just bad representation, and I would try to fix that Folder-Ubs6u!d (talk) 15:16, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I’ve tried making some editions to it but can’t find any that represent it better than what I made there, maybe the red which is where the giant anteater lives but not tamandua is too small to be easily visible. When I try to make striped lines it’s quite hard to distinguish and the fact that there’s 4 areas for giant anteater, tamandua, giant anteater and tamandua, and possibly extinct giant anteater and tamandua makes it quite hard to map. Do you have a better suggestion for how to make it more clear? Or can you provide me with some of your maps that solve these issues? Folder-Ubs6u!d (talk) 15:27, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I’m really sorry I thought it was the other map, yeahhh it’s not technically wrong but I can see why it’s hard to read. The clade doesn’t have non-overlapping range, but reversely- they have almost entirely overlapping range and thus most of the map appears purple(red and blue). I could specify that purple areas are the range overlap in the description of the map. Would that work?
Pls reply in a day or else I’m editing it to the best of my ability and adding it back in Folder-Ubs6u!d (talk) 16:05, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
