Born on July 9th,1991 in Varna, Bulgaria, Valeri Lilov[1] better known as Tiger Lilov is a professional chess trainer and player from Bulgaria holding a FIDE rating of 2434 and the title of International Master. When first starting out, at the age of eight, Lilov had achieved a Bulgarian Chess Federation rating of 1985, the highest rating in the national U10 division for decades.
Valeri has been in front line about training chess in media and DVDs. Apart from chess, Valeri is a movie screenwriter and a director. In 2018, he produced his first short film "Once Upon a Time in Varna[2]" and a number of episodes for an upcoming TV series which is to be aired sometime in 2019. Following his success as a writer, Valeri also produced his first full-feature mystery-horror'' film called "In the House of Ravens[3]". Valeri has authored several books which include Tactics - from Basics to Brilliance (2011), The Queen's Gambit Accepted: Lehr-Programm Gemäß § 14 JuSchG (2010), TACTICS[4] - FROM BASICS TO BRILLIANCE VOL. 5: TACTICS IN THE ENDGAME: Fritztrainer: Interaktives Video-Schachtraining (2014)[5], and Unorthodox Chess Openings[6] (2011).
