Speedy deletion of Apfbaorg[edit]

A tag has been placed on Apfbaorg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guidelines for people and for organizations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. Hi. Before you start in on administrators, please note that there are guidelines for inclusion here. First, no advertising. This appears to be a cut-and-paste of the organization's mission statement. Second, establish notability. It sounds notable, so please write something in your own words, citing verifiable third-party sources. Third, there may be a conflict of interest here. If you're involved with the group, you're discouraged from writing about it. Finally, when you do write about the organization, title it accordingly and not with the acronym. Please see Wikipedia:Your first article to learn more. Thanks. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 19:12, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'll go you one better: I'll start the article myself under the proper title. Feel free to add to it after I'm through. Hang tight. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 19:19, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • It's borderline since it's so new, but I'll give it a go. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 19:21, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 19:17, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Response to msg on user:ArglebargleIV's talk page[edit]

(1) I'm not an administrator, but I did recommend it to be examined by an administrator for possible deletion. (2) Basically, what PMDrive1061said above. (3) Wikipedia isn't here to promote the possibly could-be-important or the should-be-notable -- we're here to encyclopedically document the already notable and important. APFBA sounds like it's just starting, and I might wish it well -- but it's not important yet. -- ArglebargleIV (talk) 19:18, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

All set[edit]

Here you are: Association of Property Finders and Buyers Agents. It's a bit short and doesn't establish the notability very well, so I'll leave it up to you to add to the article's content and to add some sources. Good luck!--PMDrive1061 (talk) 19:41, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I created an automatic redirect as well: APFBA. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 19:46, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Association of property finder and buyers agents, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Association of property finder and buyers agents is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Association of property finder and buyers agents, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself.
