Discussion on talk pages

[edit]

Please note, Wikipedia is not a general discussion board. Talk pages are for discussing the article and improving the article, not your general views about the topic of the article. Thank you. --StuffOfInterest 19:33, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not use talk pages such as Talk:Cho Seung-hui for general discussion of the topic. They are for discussion related to the article. They are not to be used as a forum or chat room. See here for more information. Thank you. --StuffOfInterest 20:00, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I added important information to the article. Just because you don't agree with what I had to say, doesn't mean you have to delete everything you don't like. Why then, is the page called a "discussion" page??—The preceding unsigned comment was added by FyT (talkcontribs).

I see no edits to an article. All I see are edits to the article talk page. As you have been told, talk pages are for discussion related to improving the article, not to talk about the subject of the article. Please use some of the links at the top of your talk page here to become more familiar with policy. Thank you. --StuffOfInterest 20:10, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Responding to your question on my page. I probably should have said something to you here before removing your comments from the talk page. I apologize for that. However, article talk pages are for discussing article content, not the article topic. There are a lot of things that need to be discussed about the article. Personal opinions and tangential musing get in the way of that - especially in an article that is changing so fast.
Please understand that I didn't mean to offend you. Thanks. --Elliskev 20:08, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
