Graphis

[edit]

I am very worried about Lichen: Graphis Primer. It is so far from being a proper article that I wonder whether you are trying to use Wikipedia as a free host to hold lecture/study notes for your students. I suggest you do one of the following:

  • Study existing Wikipedia articles in this area and amend your article to the same style
  • Move it to Wikibooks which is for how-to guides
  • Copy it to your own website and allow it to be deleted from here.

I am sorry, I was prepared to give you time to deal with the above, but since you have removed the prod tag without any comment, I have sent the article to AfD. -- RHaworth 06:50, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The above comment is a bit strong - I realise that you probably got an "edit conflict" message and were not sure what to do. Think of the AfD positively: it advertises the presence of the article and you may find someone leaps in and converts it into a proper article. -- RHaworth 07:18, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Images

[edit]

You don't need to apologise for the quality of your images but what they do need is an indication of scale - are we talking naked eye, hand lens or microscope? -- RHaworth 07:35, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The file File:Spore Forms.JPG has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unused low-resolution file with no foreseeable encyclopedic use.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist.
