Re: Why undo ScreenFlow edit?
[edit]Hi Wyatt. I was wondering why you undid my contribution to the Comparison of screencasting software page, in which I added the first reference to a Mac OS X application, ScreenFlow, which won 2 Apple Design Awards. --Gaz (talk) 22:15, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
- Hello, Garrett. I removed the mention because there is no corresponding article on Wikipedia. If you look through Comparison of screencasting software or List of screencasting software, you'll see that every entry has an internal link, not an external link. If you feel that ScreenFlow meets the notability requirements for inclusion on Wikipedia, feel free to create the article and then revert my edit. Unfortunately, adding external links for non-notable software (or other things that don't merit inclusion) violates a number of important policies and guidelines on Wikipedia, such as WP:EL, WP:STAND, and WP:UNDUE. I've added a welcome message on your User talk page with some more information on our various policies. Welcome to Wikipedia and I hope you stay! Wyatt Riot (talk) 23:02, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
