Thanks[edit]

Hey, welcome, and thanks for your additions to Wound healing. Let me know on my talk page if you need any help or want to discuss anything, I'm always glad to help. Peace, delldot | talk 01:24, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, thanks again for the improvements to the article. The article is using the (sometimes tricky) ref style explained in Wikipedia:footnotes. The problem with the refs I noticed was that you had the slash in the <ref name="bluh"/>. You only use the slash subsequent times that you use that same reference, it tells the software "look for this same reference above, there's not going to be anything in the ref after this slash." So if there's no reference above, it leaves it blank. So the first time you use the reference, leave out the slash (<ref name="bluh">The whole thing you want to go in the reference</ref>). Then subsequent times you use that same reference, you can just put <ref name="bluh"/>. I hope this is making sense, if not I can try to clarify.
Anyway, if you just want to use a reference once, you can leave out the name part: <ref>bluh de bluh</ref>.
Lastly, one thing that I've done a ton of times is forget to put the slash after <ref name="bluh"> when I'm using the same thing subsequent times. If you do that, it treats everything after that as part of the reference until it finds another slash, meaning that vast chunks of the article seem to disappear! Anyway, I think I fixed what you were working on, but have a look and see if the citations are in the right place and everything and if I missed anything. Let me know if you need anything else or if this sufficiently explained stuff. By the way, I was curious: Are you an expert in wound healing? I wrote most of the article as a college student, so there may be some factual errors. If so I hope you won't be shy about eradicating them! Anyway, keep in touch. Excellent, we're always excited to get experts contributing. When you get the time, definitely don't be shy about adding or removing any material, and definitely let me know if you need anything. Peace, delldot talk 22:36, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
