CXAM on USS Hornet
[edit]Thank you for catching that bit there. I just found another reference (https://www.ibiblio.org/hyperwar/OnlineLibrary/photos/weap-sen/radar/us/cxam.htm) that does suggest it was installed mid-1942 and sank with the ship, so I think you’re correct.
