I noticed that you may have changed a posting on his page reinserting information that states Purvis is a 1924 graduate of The Citadel. I work at The Citadel. We have researched our records - registrar, alumni association, archives and history and yearbooks - there is no verifiable information to state he attended The Citadel or graduated from here. Please do no reinsert this information. It is being picked up by media outlets and reported. The citation goes to a Time magazine article that does not mention The Citadel.
