300 Soundtrack

[edit]

Hello, thanks for your contribution to 300; I've removed it, and would just like to explain why. The weblink that you provided gives the text of the song, but so far as I can tell no support for the statement regarding its authorship or use in the film. While the borrowing would probably be notable if true, we would need a citation (from a recognized media outlet) to support the claim. Best, --Javits2000 12:18, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The page I provided contains the music. Please scroll down and press on Play, and you'll be able to hear it. --GoranStojanov 22:26, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I think you are misinterpreting what we mean by citation, Goran. We aren't saying the similairy isn't there - we are saying that we need someone of citable influence to say so. A person - even an expert - relating thus in a blog is not citable because it is not reliable. The person thus quoted has to have made the statement in such forum that they are both taken seriously and can be held legally liable for any mistakes in their quoted statements. Please find some reliable source, and we will be happy to include it. Without such statements, it must go. Arcayne 23:03, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not talking about similarity. The melody is the same. Listen for youself "Message For The Queen"and "Zajdi Zajdi Jasno Sonce". --GoranStojanov 01:15, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Dude! :)
That was exactly what we were looking for. Now we have too many references for the Titus thing. Why don't you choose one that best explains the statment and leave it at that. If someone challenges it, you let me know - I will have your back. Excellent work, Goran! Arcayne 02:53, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, you will need to remove the blog reference. Arcayne 03:08, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, could you please bring up this topic on the 300 talk page? It's my opinion that this comparison, although undoubtedly true, constitutes Original Research, unless you can provide a reference from a media outlet that makes this same point. But I could be wrong about this, and it would be better if you were to present your opinions on the talk page instead of this back-and-forth editing. Thanks very much, --Javits2000 12:37, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
