I have been blocked because my account name contains cyrillic e characters. I did this because the name without those characters has already been taken, but that account has made no contributions. I'm not trying to pass myself off as anyone else. I was actually trying to add some information to the article Greebo. Please unblock me, or suggest a way I can use this name, which I like.

I can't email the blocker (User:Curps), because I don't have email unabled. This is the only page I can edit. How do I get someone's attention so I get unblocked?

To enable your e-mail, go to Special:Preferences, enter your e-mail address and the click "save". After that, go to Special:Emailuser/Curps. Izehar 22:45, 11 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Forget it, I'll post your comments on the administrators' noticeboard. Izehar 22:46, 11 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. My IP address also seems to have been blocked.-Grееbo 22:48, 11 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That happens when you've tried to edit from your IP address while blocked. I'll find the IP address and unblock it. What I suggest you do is pick another account name, because people will quite easily confuse you with Greebo. David | Talk 22:51, 11 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm gettting confused. I tried to create an account called User:Greebo the Cat but it couldn't edit because of the IP block. Now I see that account is blocked too because of cyrillic e's. I thought I used normal e's in that account name, but maybe I edited the URL to get there. I've had several edit conflicts on this page and I can't remember exactly what I did anymore.

My IP address is 203.118.140.54.

I'll try again with User:Greebo the Cat.

Thanks to everyone who helped. Greebo the Cat 23:12, 11 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
