Please, read MOS:GENDERID and Wikipedia:Gender identity before making any changes to the page. The cartoonist refers to herself as female. Most recent sources refer to Laerte with the feminine article: "a cartunista". Even though she doen't care if colleagues and friends who knew her before the transitioning refer to her in the masculine ("o Laerte"), the policy states we should stick with her self-identification.
