The sentence you added with a citation is a great example of material that should be included in your improvements to the Wikipedia page, Heebeebeegee BUT when the exercise stated that you add a sentence with a citation, it meant that you should paraphrase the authors argument and provide a citation. So, not just a direct quote with the information, but rewrite the information and then cite it. Please update ASAP for full marks, and let me know if you have any questions! Peer Review[edit]

Hello! I'm here to do the peer review for class. I think your first draft is very well done. I found the original article's Legal Power section to be quite lacking so it's nice to see your edit that describes the ephors' duties in much greater detail. My only complaint is that the original talks about the ephors' legislative, judicial, financial, and executive matters, and while you have listed their legislative and executive duties I don't see anything that relates to their judicial and financial duties. Your article will be a lot stronger if you can find information on those duties. Aside from that, your changes are an insightful and welcome addition to the Ephor article. Keep up the good work!

Instructor Feedback[edit]

Thank you for your review, MetaFeta777, you make a very good point about expanding each of the duties that are listed. Good work, this gives your peer something to work on!

Heebeebeegee Your writing style is very clear and straightforward, so excellent job there. You have also added some good, solid sentences to your article. Your next step is basically just to add, add, add content! Your peer reviewer gives you one good suggestion as to how to expand (specific examples of specific duties being carried out), but I might also suggest expanding different sections on individual ephors, and our sources about individual men who served in this position. I want to see a lot more added to this page, because the original article is really in need of improvement - and you're on the right track! Please let me know if you have any questions, and reply to this comment when you have seen it with your plans and goals for improvement over the next month. Don't forget to tag me and sign with 4 tildes (~)! Gardneca (talk) 18:28, 6 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your feedback! MetaFeta777 's suggestion to expand on their duties is a good place for me to start, and perhaps I can also find some noteable examples of ephors bringing about a change to policy or scandals which had occured among them.Heebeebeegee (talk) 17:55, 12 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds great, Heebeebeegee, I'm really looking forward to seeing your final product! Gardneca (talk) 18:21, 12 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
