WP:NSONGS

[edit]

Hello. I see that you have removed the redirects from a song by Beatsteaks, like the one at Jane Became Insane. You should make yourself familiar with WP:NSONGS because it is common practice to redirect songs that are not notable to the artist or album. The song articles that you have created are not particularly notable and they should remain redirected to the artist. I will be replacing the redirects. If you have concerns about this, let's have a two-way conversation here before removing the redirects again. Thanks. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 15:37, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. So why can be here other German songs, which I think you couldn't know, and nobody did redirect for it? --Heitinga (talk) 15:40, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Can you point one out? Could be that no one who knows the rules has noticed it. I may not reply right away, because I have to go, but I won't forget to come back to this with you. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 15:45, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I think that rules are really cruel, because in this case can be here only songs from commercial "stars". Ok my examples: Tanzverbot (Schill to Hell), Pogo Dancing, November (song), OK (Farin Urlaub song), Saft (song) and more more...But I know why are this songs here. Because if you or no matter who live in country, in that case Germany, you know this songs and are important for this people. But unfortunately, rules...--Heitinga (talk) 15:54, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It does appear that all of the songs you listed should be redirected. You shouldn't get discouraged. If you disagree with a policy, you can make a comment on the talk page of the policy. Everything is determined by consensus, and consensus can change. Go ahead and raise your concern at Wikipedia talk:Notability (music). -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 00:24, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I cannot do it, because I don't have so good English as I wish, so I must have settle for with digestion rules. But I'm really sorry for it. --Heitinga (talk) 15:32, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You shouldn't get discouraged from contributing here. But I understand that you can only do what your comfortable doing. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 15:41, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
