Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

I've since educated myself. I understand that my username was problematic and would like to change it to "Hitchvert". Thank you for grating my request. However, it seems that my IP address is still blocked, which prevents me from filing a name-change request. Please let me know if I should go about this in another way. Thank you.

There were a couple of autoblocks still on the account but those have been cleared up now - you should be able to edit normally now and file the changename request. Shereth 16:02, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
