Peer Review - Lindsay

[edit]

Lotte Reiniger is probably my favorite animator, so I think it is great that you're going to be working on her article! While her page does have a lot of information, there are a lot of elements missing that appear on other filmmakers pages. I looked up Miyazaki's Wiki page and some sections that I think are helpful for formatting and providing information are the subsections of his filmmaking career (Early Career, Global Emergence, Final Films and Short Films). I think you could incorporate this into Reiniger's existing article.

Prince Achmed, in my opinion, definintely deserves its own section under filmography as it was a game-changing film. I would suggest you add sections for Critical Reception and Themes. This is standard with nearly all articles about directors. I would expand on the article's section about Reiniger's art style. Silhouette animation is pretty synonymous with Reiniger, but the style and roots of the silhouettes definitely has some history that isn't being told. Lastly, I would add Reiniger's invention and how it impacted cinema to her Legacy section.

This is a great start, Hans. The information that you are adding is very valuable. I agree with Lindsay that you might consider doing more. Perhaps adding a section where you discuss one film or multiple films in depth?MJSProf (talk) 18:06, 14 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
