Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. — Ingenuity (talk • contribs) 13:26, 15 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

My company is named on the articles regarding GSOC bugging and as such I simply felt that it is appropriate for readers of those articles to be able to visit the company that is talked about! HoppySaul52 (talk) 13:45, 15 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did at Garda Síochána malpractice allegations, you may be blocked from editing. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. — Ingenuity (talk • contribs) 13:36, 15 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I was simply trying to add a link to the website of Verrimus who are named on the article. Verrimus is my company and as such were involved in the GSOC bugging task. HoppySaul52 (talk) 13:43, 15 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you insert a spam link, as you did at Countersurveillance. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. — Ingenuity (talk • contribs) 13:41, 15 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

apologies I was simply trying to link my organisation with the specialist services that is described in the article. HoppySaul52 (talk) 13:44, 15 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Stop icon with clock
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week for adding spam links. Persistent spammers will have their websites blacklisted from Wikipedia and potentially penalized by search engines. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Alexf(talk) 13:55, 15 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No Problem,
I did explain, when I saw the message that I was simply trying to link my company where it was mentioned in the pages. I felt it was important if my company is mentioned that there is a link to us. Perhaps the pages that mention my company should have my company name removed from them? HoppySaul52 (talk) 15:23, 15 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
