Blackadder quotes

[edit]

Hi there, unfortunately, the quotes you're adding to various Blackadder articles aren't really particularly useful, as they're simply jokes from the script, but not put in any episodic context for readers. If you like adding quotations from TV programmes, I would perhaps recommend our sister project Wikiquote, which has a big section of Blackadder quotes here you may want to add to. Thanks! Using "CQuote"

[edit]

Hi, I reverted your edits to World War I because the template {{cquote}} "should not be used for block quotations in article text". Read MOS:QUOTE for more information. ~~ Lothar von Richthofen (talk) 19:07, 15 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Captitalization

[edit]

Just FYI, we don't capitalize anything but the first word and proper nouns in headings or infobox fields. We also do not link common words that native speakers of English are expected to know. That is, "Tux the penguin, mascot of Linux" is correct, and "Tux, the Linux Penguin, the Mascot of Linux" is incorrect: neither "penguin" or "mascot" are proper nouns so they should not be capitalized, and neither needs to be linked. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
