Answer to why

[edit]

Because you did not have a user page. When I see that a new editor does not have one, I create one for that user.--Fahrenheit451 00:53, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I know what you mean. After her head injury, my mom would always take a sharpie and dot the "I"s in magazines whenever fonts were used that didn't dot their "I"s. wikipediatrix 01:00, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Trixi, your insights are always profound and didactic. Your equating me with your mother and her head injury demonstrates prodigious perspicuity. By the way, did her head injury motivate her to conceive you?--Fahrenheit451 13:24, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry bout that. I thought I grabbed those when I reverted the page. My bad. I just can't believe no one noticed the drastic change of the page in 24 hours.... EaglesFanInTampa 18:35, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No worries! Today was the first time I had seen that page, otherwise I might have caught it. Eagles fan in Tampa, huh? I take it you're not form Fla. originally, then?HubcapD 23:04, 17 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

funny it is

[1] -> [2], heh. Misou 05:10, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Maddening is more like it! I have a feeling this is going to go past a 3RR warning and have to use a heavier hand. I'm willing to bet good money Rook sees me as nothing more than a "cult vandal" and, hence, feels he doesn't actually have to communicate with me.HubcapD 05:40, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Got the same idea from watching. Well, personally, I don't care much what people think of me. Misou 05:15, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Medcab Case involving you

[edit]
The Mediation Cabal: Request for case participation
Dear HubcapD: Hello, my name is Arknascar44; I'm a mediator from the Mediation Cabal, an informal mediation initiative here on Wikipedia. You've recently been named as a dispute participant in a mediation request here:
Wikipedia:Mediation Cabal/Cases/2007-08-31 David Miscavige

I'd like to invite you to join this mediation to try to get this dispute resolved, if you wish to do so; note, however, it is entirely your choice whether or not you participate, and if you don't wish to take part in it that's perfectly alright. Please read the above request and, if you do feel that you'd like to take part, please make a note of this on the mediation request page. If you have any questions or queries relating to this or any other dispute, please do let me know; I'll try my best to help you out. Thank you very much. Best regards, Arky ¡Hablar! 21:04, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

IDBL

[edit]

It's been there over 5 years, the source WAS there many moons ago. And if YOU are a wrestling fan then you would know this is by far one of his classic nicknames. It was given to him after Wrestlemania 8 during is post-match promo, and it's still something he's known by. Note: on-air they don't say it hardly at all anymore i must say, but it was popular enough in the 1990's that it needs to be there, as many of the nick's that are on his page now are not nicknames for him at all. Please don't remove again.... pleeeeease. 05:40, 12 November 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.235.15.9 (talk)

1) I am a wrestling fan. I used to watch Ric do his thing on TBS every weekend growing up in the 80s. 2) Nearly every nickname on that list, other than the one in question, is most definitely a nickname for him, used either by himself, or by others. 3) If you look at the talk page for the article, I brought this up a year ago for discussion. When I did that, I googled the "nickname", and the ONLY reference Google found for it was the Wikipedia article. 4) I'm so much of a wrestling fan, I have the WWE Network, so I just watched the WM VII post-match promo, and NOTHING said in that promo even approximates "I-da Ba-loot!".
Therefore, I am deleting it again. If you really want it in there, then find the source for it, then reference it properly. That's what a good editor does. Keep doing what your doing, and I'll have no choice but to report you. HubcapD (talk) 07:54, 12 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

"I da" which is Ric talking and yelling... and if you aren't paying attention it's sounds like he's going "I da! i da!" and ba-loot, is the way someone widens there eyes while talking. Put that together and that's where that nick came from. This comes from Danny Davis the ref, who was still working for WWF at time and recalls the name given to him that night after the awards. Davis lives not too far from me, and I myself have 2 years of Killer K's wrestling school (HHH had just graduated and saw me walk in and said "Welcome to hell, man!"), so that's the main reason i want it on the page because i've heard it from many sources, it's just not anywhere on the internet. I've tried man, sorry, I won't put it on there again until something else comes up. I'm not doing anything "wrong" in my book so you would no reason to report me. Be cool, man and keep watching WWE (although it totally blows nowadays!) Sorry again.... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.235.15.9 (talk) 00:34, 13 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Prelude to Axanar

[edit]

Let's not into a revert war with each other. That is against Wikipedia policy and will end badly for both of us.

The link to Axamonitor is relevant to the Prelude article. I'm sorry if you disagree. You are free to post links to sites with alternative views (for example, Fan Film Factor, the Fan Page on Facebook, etc.) but deleting the link because you don't agree with the content is not appropriate. Axamonitor is *about* the Axanar project and the link could not be more appropriate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chriscondon (talkcontribs) 11:15, 22 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

For the time being, I will just put a more accurate description of what Axamonitor is.HubcapD (talk) 16:47, 22 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Meanwhile, I submit that since Axamonitor originated from the lawsuit, and has to do with the lawsuit and the as-yet-unmade Axanar movie, and that Prelude was completed prior to the filing of the lawsuit, it is not relevant to this page. Were there a page for the movie Axanar, or the lawsuit, your argument might pertain. I will bring this same argument to the edit discussion page as well to try and get consensus.HubcapD (talk) 17:03, 22 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I just made a change to the description that will hopefully work for both of us and I think accurately characterizes Axamonitor.
Since there are sections on this page about both the Axanar feature and the lawsuit, I think your idea that an Axamonitor link isn't appropriate doesn't make sense. However, if there are ever individual pages for the feature and/or the lawsuit then certainly the Axamonitor link could be moved there. - ChrisChris Condon (talk) 18:12, 22 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Let's keep it simple. It is a critical site, so let's just call it that and be done with it. As for the rest, in retrospect you are correct in regards the sections on the page.HubcapD (talk) 18:22, 22 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I'll leave it as is. I think my characterization is more accurate since the Axamonitor criticism is leveled at Peters and not at the project itself (which we would have liked to see) but... close enough for Wikipedia, I guess. - Chris — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chriscondon (talkcontribs) 18:58, 22 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
You keep telling yourself that, Chris....Meanwhile, you might want to take a peek at what I wrote on the talk page for Prelude. The site seems to fall under #11 and maybe #12 of WP:LINKSTOAVOID HubcapD (talk) 14:55, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
