Thank you for reaching out to me. I understand your concerns regarding my username, "IAmAttractedToFemales," and I appreciate your attention to Wikipedia's username policy. I respectfully disagree with your assessment that my username may be offensive.
My intention in choosing this username was to express my sexual orientation without any explicit or derogatory language. I understand that discussing personal preferences may be sensitive, but it is crucial to foster an inclusive environment where users can express their identities respectfully.
If there are specific guidelines or policies I may have inadvertently overlooked, I would be more than willing to adjust my username accordingly. However, if possible, I would prefer to keep my current username as it accurately represents an important aspect of my identity.
Once again, I appreciate your attention to this matter and your commitment to maintaining a welcoming community on Wikipedia. IAmAttractedToFemales (talk) 04:30, 17 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @IAmAttractedToFemales,
Thanks for getting back to me. I now understand better what your username means to you; thank you for taking the time to explain it! Identity is something that should not be demoted on Wikipedia, and it will never be.
With that in mind, and by looking at our username policy again, I have concluded that your username does not constitute a violation of our username policy.
Again, thank you for replying, and happy editing! Cocobb8 (💬 talk • ✏️ contribs) 14:28, 18 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I disagree with this assessment. Could you refer to the specific part of the username guideline that you believe is in violation here? Sean Demers (talk) 14:06, 18 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Defiect, this issue has now been addressed above. For your information, the warning template that I posted mentioned that it (...) may not meet Wikipedia's username policy. However, it does not mean that it does. The goal of the message was to get user output to then determine whether the username was a violation of the policy or not. Thanks! I believe its quite dishonest & non useful posting such things on my talk page or anybodys talk page, might as well make the bait more obvious, this doesn't help anybody but confuse new users. IAmAttractedToFemales (talk) 01:06, 17 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon This is your only warning; if you violate Wikipedia's biographies of living persons policy by inserting unsourced or poorly sourced defamatory content into an article or any other Wikipedia page again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. that's the talk page not the biography IAmAttractedToFemales (talk) 11:10, 23 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Acroterion its a talk page, I made it cuz of the rumours that he was dead, hence why its in the talk page, its a discussion of the allegations. IAmAttractedToFemales (talk) 11:54, 23 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The biographies of living persons policy applies everywhere. Don’t do anything like that again. Acroterion (talk)
Clearly you haven't read the biographies of living persons policy. Wikipedia doesn't host rumors or gossip, and asserting that someone is dead when they're not is a profound violation. Acroterion (talk) 11:56, 23 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
not everything on the talk page must be 100% factual, its to talk about the article and how to act on certain situations / allegations.
its not a biography IAmAttractedToFemales (talk) 12:02, 23 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This isn't a debate, and you clearly haven't read the policy. Don't ever do that again for any biographical topic, anywhere on Wikipedia. Acroterion (talk) 12:03, 23 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
