Thanks for getting back to me. I now understand better what your username means to you; thank you for taking the time to explain it! Identity is something that should not be demoted on Wikipedia, and it will never be.

With that in mind, and by looking at our username policy again, I have concluded that your username does not constitute a violation of our username policy.

@Defiect, this issue has now been addressed above. For your information, the warning template that I posted mentioned that it (...) may not meet Wikipedia's username policy. However, it does not mean that it does. The goal of the message was to get user output to then determine whether the username was a violation of the policy or not. Thanks!
