Speedy deletion nomination of Gelsomina

[edit]

Hello Idealgoddess,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Gelsomina for deletion, because it doesn't appear to contain any encyclopedic content. Take a look at our suggestions for essential content in short articles to learn what should be included.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. TheLongTone (talk) 09:52, 14 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Re: kitten for you!

[edit]

Would you mind explaining why you added the section "A kitten for you!" to my talk page? If this is about the kardamili-greece link, from what I can see, nowhere on the website does it claim to be endorsed by anyone. Therefore, it is not clear if it is, in fact, the official website of Kardamili. If you could provide some support to the official status of the link, I would be happy to allow the title "Official Website of Kardamyli" on the wikipedia page. This is most certainly not a "combat zone", and my intention is not to start any "combat", but only to preserve the truthfulness of the Kardamyli page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tgvtornado (talkcontribs) 23:20, 24 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

1.   The better question is: Who are you to believe you have the authority to delete a highly-relevant link in the first place?  Because, though you "would be happy to allow the title 'Official Website of Kardamyli' on the wikipedia page", you should understand that you don't actually own the Wikipedia page.  Nobody owns anything on Wikipedia.
2.   Representatives obtained not just an endorsement but an accord from the local Municipal Office in 2004, in order to officialise the platform.  And, FYI, representatives continue to have mandate from the majority of the villagers themselves to oversee the platform.

But, of course, you would know this, if you lived in Kardamili or visited often enough.

3.   Your assumption that there is no official endorsement, as well as your failure to contact the representatives in order to verify this, coupled with your consequent decision to substitute the link with another (much less relevant, much less useful) link, was arrogant and aggressive.
4.   Santava beach is not in Kardamili.
5.   If you include subcompartments [which are not villages, just areas] like Kalamitsi in your article, then—for "truthfulness"—you should also include subcompartments like [the other] Kampos.  There are two Kampos-es in the Municipality of Western Mani, and the second one is home to Ritsa beach no less.

So much for your knowledge of Kardamili.
