Jules Dervaes Plagiarism from iluvwikigirl

[edit]

I hope that I have the right page to express my concerns. Recently, someone has been posting totally false accusations about Jules Dervaes and plagiarism. The plagiarism claim is trumped up and not even plagiarism -- it was an editorial oversight and wasn't Jules Dervaes's fault. He had no knowledge of it. It should NOT be attributed to Jules Dervaes. Plus, Michael Nolan knew about the issue and said nothing. This should not be in Jules Dervaes Wikipedia page as it has no factual basis and is slanted. The truth is the site mentioned that has the alleged plagiarism is run by Justin and Anais Dervaes. According to Anais, it was an inadvertent omission and not intentional. When it was brought to her attention she immediately rectified it with an apology. She admitted that everything was set up to show the source of the quote but somehow it was omitted and it could have been during the transfer of the site by Jordanne Dervaes. If Anais did omit the source it was inadvertent plagiarism on her part which, in academic circles is considered understandable and a far cry from true intentional plagiarism. Additionally, it was not large portions as was stated in the accusation but merely 3 sentences. Even without the citing of the source, one with a non prejudiced mind could ascertain that the format of the 3 sentences was properly set apart from the rest of the article showing that it was from another source. In any event, the alleged "plagiarism" had nothing to do with Jules Dervaes who does not post anything on the website at all. This false accusation goes completely against Wikipedia's policy of accuracy and neutrality. It is a blatant attempt to slander the name of Jules Dervaes and as a reliable, well-respected name on the Internet, Wikipedia should not want to assist the detractors of Jules Dervaes in any way.

No, this isn't the right page. You should be posting this on Talk:Jules Dervaes, where other editors of that article will find it. Also, you seem to have inside information that may not be verifiable in available sources, and therefore can't be used in articles. If you have a conflict of interest, you need to disclose that too. ~Amatulić (talk) 14:46, 7 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
