[edit]Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Internet of things. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. Thank you. - Hey Greyfall, can you let me know where you think I have done this, as I believe I am adding to the knowledgebase of IOT, by including DePIN. Interestediniot (talk) 07:49, 23 July 2023 (UTC)
- Also, if you check the article on the website in question about DePIN you will find that it is one of the most in-depth article/resources online about the topic of DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks). I am unsure of the consequences of your actions towards my posting. I notice the word spam associated with the domain name, are reporting the content as spam, as it is not this. - Upon further research into your comment and how wikipedia is run, I see your comment is very much how editors do it here, something I will have to get used to.
- I do appreciate your efforts in maintaining the quality of Wikipedia. However, I would like to discuss the recent removal of the information related to Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePIN) from the Internet of Things article.
- The intention behind adding this information was purely educational. DePIN is an emerging concept in the field of IoT and I believe it's important for readers to have access to this information. I assure you that there was no promotional intent behind my contribution. You can check the website in question for commercial links etc if necessary. What you will find it a thoroughly researched and expansive piece of content, with no monetary element whatsoever.
- I understand the importance of neutrality in Wikipedia articles and I believe the content I added adhered to these guidelines. I am planning to re-add the information about DePIN, ensuring it is factual, neutral, and appropriately referenced.
- I look forward to your thoughts on this matter.
- Best regards,
