This sentence is awkward and should be revised to begin with “Understandings of” : “Understanding culturally relevant teaching has developed over time.”
This sentence strays into second-person voice and instructions for teachers. Consider rephrasing.: “Teaching diversity should be embraced in all classes and schools, regardless of the population. “
Use more tentative language (e.g., "may" or "could") for this sentence: “Incorporating authentic world assignments, where students confront cultural issues, not only fosters cultural appreciation but also enhances their problem-solving skills.[5]”
The edits to the “additional practices” section removed the standardized formatting that existed. Currently this is just a list of practices that are incomplete sentences but the changes have made some of them full sentences with value judgements attached.
