Spam in SustainAbility
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on SustainAbility, by Sunray (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because SustainAbility is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting SustainAbility, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 10:27, 18 July 2007 (UTC)
Rationale re SustainAbility article
[edit]Hi JP, Thank you for your note. I wasn't irked. However, some of us have been trying to eliminate spam links from the Sustainability article (and many others). I saw the link you had put there to the SustainAbility page. The SustainAbility article seemed to me to be little more than a promotion for the organization. I recognize that you did strive for NPOV in writing it, but I couldn't see what was notable about SustainAbility that would merit it having an article. Here's an overview of the guideline:
- A topic is presumed to be notable if it has received significant coverage in reliable secondary sources that are independent of the subject.
Perhaps you could consider that and get back to me if you think that SustainAbility is notable enough to have an article. Sunray 21:26, 19 July 2007 (UTC)
