Temple Shalom of Northwest Arkansas
[edit]Dear Rabbi Adler, welcome to Wikipedia! I received the "warning" you issued on my talk page regarding the above article which it seems you may be the spiritual leader of. It is most unusual to have the leader of a congregation participate in the editing of an article. I must tell you, however, that you should be aware that there is a very important Wikipedia policy regarding conflict of interest. You can find it here, WP:COI. The nutshell says, "Do not edit Wikipedia to promote your own interests, or those of other individuals, companies, or groups, unless you are certain that the interests of Wikipedia remain paramount." As you might be able to see what I am trying to get as is you're not entirely a neutral source of information. Moreover it seems you have little experience in editing Wikipedia articles. Did you know that you removed the entire references section? Additionally, the way you formatted the photos is rather out of the mold for Wikipedia. Based on all of this and more I would highly suggest you review basics of editing on the English Wikipedia. Sincerely, Bstone (talk) 02:26, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- I received the longer history of the congregation which is posted on my talk page. It seems that a nutshell version of it is located on the history section of the article. The one which you provided is overly long and contains information which is not pertinent to the encyclopedia. Might you be able to identify the main points which you feel are missing? Lastly, the most appropriate place for this discussion would be here as I am not the only editor working on this article. Bstone (talk) 03:40, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- Rabbi Adler, I have received your most recent message. I see what you mean about some history missing. In the future perhaps you can redirect discussion about the article to the talk page, located Talk:Temple_Shalom_of_Northwest_Arkansas. In any case, you can feel free to make neutral edits to the article. Bstone (talk) 03:50, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- Hi, I agree, please see Talk:Temple Shalom of Northwest Arkansas#Reverts so that we can all arrive at some consensus how to proceed. Thanks, IZAK (talk) 15:33, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Framework for clarification
[edit]Hi Jacob: I have created a "framework for clarification" to help resolve the editorial conflicts at the Temple Shalom of Northwest Arkansas page, see Talk:Temple Shalom of Northwest Arkansas#Framework for clarification that should help deal with this. Thanks, IZAK (talk) 22:42, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
