Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. --Guinnog 17:57, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
Hi. Yes, it's a judgement call like so much here. If you read the spam policy (linked to above), that'll be a good place to start. Basically, don't add loads and loads of links, and especially don't add the same link to multiple articles. Another good tip is, if you ask at the article talk if you can add it and there is a consensus that you can, or even if nobody objects within a few days or so, then that is a better way to proceed. I (speaking only for myself here) give the message I gave you to pretty much anybody who is posting many links but little content. Generally speaking, Wikipedia articles have plenty of links already; it isn't the sort of addition we need. Are you any good at copyediting? Best wishes, --Guinnog 19:05, 13 November 2006 (UTC)
Hi Jaeysson, per WP:EL 1: it does not provide a unique resource beyond the article or even the official website. 2: the link is there to promote that website which is commercial. 3: has an online store that sells commercially accessories for the car. 4: the link is a forum also. 5: the link contains a blog not written by a recognised authority. It simply ticks too many boxes to be considered for inclusion.
Also if it is a website that you own, maintain, or represent then it is also a clear conflict of interest.
It is clearly not an appropriate link for inclusion in wikipedia. skyskraper 05:56, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
