India has an active space program and has indicated interest in a manned space program, but it is not factually true that they have flown an astronaut in space on their own spacecraft. Please don't put misinformation in Wikipedia articles. Thanks. Georgewilliamherbert (talk) 01:22, 10 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Jai - Again, India has not flown their own manned space capsule. Please do not repeatedly insert misinformation into Wikipedia pages. Georgewilliamherbert (talk) 02:11, 10 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You reinserted this information using an anonymous IP address to do it. I have blocked that IP from editing Wikipedia anonymously in the next week.
If you continue this behavior we will block you from editing Wikipedia with this account, and with that IP for longer time periods. It is not acceptable to insert false information into Wikipedia. If you do it again your career here is over. Georgewilliamherbert (talk) 02:21, 11 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Responding here after your note on my talk page...
Yes, an Indian astronaut flew in space. That's not what the article list is about. The list is about countries which have designed and built and flown in space their own manned reentry vehicles. The US Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, and Shuttle capsules have carried humans into space and returned them. Russia has flown manned Vostok, Voshkod, Soyuz missions, and China has flown their Shenzhou space capsule.
Other countries astronauts have flown on Soyuz and on Space Shuttle missions, but not on their own spacecraft.
Thanks. Georgewilliamherbert (talk) 02:44, 11 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
