This is an interesting article. However, I don't think I have fully understood it: does this thruster propel a space vehicle simply by generating high frequencies which bounce off antennas? If so, shouldn't the amplitude of the light waves generated be taken into consideration? In the article, there are several mentions of . I didn't understand what L refers to.

I am very willing to understand this concept. Thanks in advance for enlightening me on this subject!

L refers to the length of the array of dipoles.
The concept is pretty simple, similar to a multiphase linear AC motor.
And there is a newer version, the Phase Displacement Space Drive, which is even simpler:
