[edit]

Thank you for your edit, but I have reverted it. You seemed to have been converting a word in American English to British English, or vice versa. Both spellings are correct, and in most cases, whichever one was in use first on the page should be kept. Happy editing, and please let me know if you have questions (or if I made a mistake). @TheManInTheBlackHat Fair enough. It would be nice to have separate options for both forms of English within Wikipedia. Jay F Sebastian (talk) 21:46, 14 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia is in a complicated position because there so are many different types of English. It would be nice to see some consistency, but which type of English used would probably cause a fierce debate. TheManInTheBlackHat (Talk) 21:48, 14 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@TheManInTheBlackHat I understand completely. I'm referring to having a British English translation option in the list of languages available as well as an American English option, rather than having the current mixed version currently available. That's an interesting idea, it's too bad Wikipedia doesn't have something like that. TheManInTheBlackHat (Talk) 21:58, 14 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@TheManInTheBlackHat Indeed. It would certainly help prevent disagreements over correct usage and spelling. Jay F Sebastian (talk) 22:00, 14 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
