Vandalism

[edit]

I'm going to be more blunt. I'm a site administrator, and Wikipedia policy forbids blanking talk pages. If you try it again, you will be banned from editing Wikipedia. Bearcat 01:33, 25 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, and by the way, this rule applies to this page, too. Once it's posted here, it stays here, no ifs, ands or buts. Since I didn't clarify that in my first post, I won't ban you for it now...but you will also be banned if you blank any posts off of this page again. Bearcat 01:39, 25 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

-- I didn't blank the posts, I removed the personal attacks. It's obvious to a lot of people that pm_shef is on a campaign to discredit non-Liberals, and feels that personal attacks are appropriate. Jazzabelle

What constitutes a personal attack or not is not your decision to make. If you're concerned about personal attacks, get an administrator to review the page and evaluate what needs to be done. But you do not, under any circumstances, EVER have the right as a user to personally modify another user's comments. And since you've disregarded a direct order, you are now blocked for 24 hours. If this behaviour continues after your block expires, however, then you will be blocked permanently.
Again: if you believe that something posted on the page constitutes a personal attack, then raise it with an administrator. The administrator will evaluate the situation, and they can remove the comment if they deem it inappropriate. You, however, do not have that right. Bearcat 01:55, 25 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Samaritan's edits are perfectly valid and proper, and more correctly formatted per Wikipedia rules than the version you insist on reverting to. Would you kindly explain why you insist on reverting them? Bearcat 04:56, 2 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
