Jennifer I think you did really well creating a good "Lead" and succinct summary of a Registrar's role in a museum. I love that you included section on Ethical Issues; not something that I thought of but definitely an important and tougher part of the job. Your "See Also" section is great because it links some of the topics you mention in the rest of your article. Since you also mention Copyright, I would include a link to that in "See Also" or in your "External Links" section. The only two major responsibilities that I see missing for a registrar is arranging insurance and tracking movement of objects internally and externally. Lastly, I would add a photo so there is some type of media, and then you’ll be one step closer to Wikipedia’s definition of a featured article! Great job. Response[edit]

Hi Laura, About the photo, there should be one at the top right. I am guessing you are not seeing one there? Let me know. And, thank you for the comments and you are absolutely right, I forgot about insurance (ugh!) and tracking the objects. I will need to add those topics. Thanks! Article Review[edit]

Jennifer, I think this is a great start to fleshing out this sometimes complicated role. I like that you used added "(Museum)" after Registrar in the opening sentence. It keeps consistent with the other 'registrar' searches in Wikipedia (ex. Registrar (Education) ). I appreciate that you stated how a Registrar can also be called a collections manager. You mirror this notion by highlighting risk management and mentioning that a registrar's responsibilities can vary depending on institution size. However, within that 'Responsibilities' section, I would separate either the ideas, or just the paragraphs themselves, about how size of institution can vary the duties and then the basic and additional duties you described. It might read better? Maybe elaborating on the Ethical Issues section could be interesting. For example, you could link the user to the Nazi Era Internet Portal, or to a wikipedia page about a court case. Great photo, too! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jmadre1 (talkcontribs) 13:09, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
