Information icon Hi Jlf2025! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Jonny Benjamin that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. Speederzzz (Talk) (Stalk me) 12:02, 10 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did at Jonny Benjamin, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 12:09, 10 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, as you did at Jonny Benjamin, you may be blocked from editing. Making the page more concise is not a valid reason for deleting the subject's name.C.Fred (talk) 03:45, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I am the individual, Jonny Benjamin. I don;'t want everyone knowing every detail about my life eg DOB, full legal name. I never asked for this. I'm really struggling with my mental health and the world has messed me up. I want a private life. Please can you respect my wishes?????? Jlf2025 (talk) 07:39, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The pro Israel/Zionist lobby are after me because I spoke out against what they're doing in Gaza. Please can you just delete my page. I'm done with this world. Jlf2025 (talk) 07:52, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please consider it from our perspective: an individual claiming to be Jonny Benjamin has shown up and, at the same time is complaining about wanting a private life, is revealing some intimate details. We have to consider one of two options:
  1. You are Benjamin—in which case, you don't get any automatic say over what's in an article about you.
  2. You are somebody impersonating Benjamin and potentially out to cause harm to the article.
There is no way for a Wikipedia editor or administrator to tell the difference. The only way to verify your identity would be to contact the Volunteer Response Team via email. They have a mechanism to alert other editors about what they have verified.
Further, if an admin feels it is in the best interests of Wikipedia or the subject, we have authority to block the account holding themselves out as somebody notable until they do verify their identity with the VRT. —C.Fred (talk) 12:10, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That said, I rechecked the article, and there is no reliable source supporting a date of birth, so I have removed it entirely from the article. As far as full legal name, that was Gazetted when the MBE was bestowed, so that is on record in a reliable source. —C.Fred (talk) 12:14, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks so much for being so empathetic-you're not the one whose been put through hell for simply speaking up for the people of Gaza Jlf2025 (talk) 17:15, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't add intimate details..I was taking them out..I don't want the world to know everything about me. People are allowed the change you know. I gave what I could to this world but now I;m done with it. Jlf2025 (talk) 17:16, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please just leave me alone if you're going to give me more grief. I'll speak to the volunteer team Jlf2025 (talk) 17:18, 11 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
