Thanks for your contribution to the TJ Wikipedia article. Judging by your username, you are a relative of Ms. Lodal. Please keep in mind that it is frowned upon to for someone to his or her own article. I kept the useful new information that you provided and reverted some of the non-objective statements.

It would be very helpful to the TJ Wikipedia article if you could provide sources for the statements "Upon her retirement, Lodal received numerous accolades for her career and successful tenure at TJ, including praise from the Governor of Virginia, the Fairfax County School Board (which named a second facility in the school system for her), the TJ PTSA, and local newspaper editorials."

Thank you.

Ok, I've made some changes that counteract some of your changes and I'd like to explain them here. I have also posted this on the talk page of the article.

  • The title of the section is more appropriately named "Retirement" because it is part of "Recent Developments". Her "Tenure" is not recent; her retirement is.
  • I believe the current revision does not imply that the controversy of the Asian/cheating remarks caused her retirement. I believe it factually and chronologically states what happened with sourced statements from a reputable source.
  • I believe that the news coverage of these events verify their notability and make them worth inclusion in the TJHSST article.

Also, if you could provide a source for the "accolades", the TJ article would be better off.

I hope that these edits have addressed your concerns and reached an objective compromise among the community. KevinPuj 00:41, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have no personal vendetta against Mrs. Lodal. I am not even a member of the group that was so insulted by her simple statement of a fact. I removed myself from editing in a responsible way, and, Mr. Lodal, I would ask you to do the same. We can discuss the changes on the talk page and have a third party decide what to do with them. I did not revert back to the original section (which I did not write, by the way, so calling it "his original section" is inaccurate). Please check the edit history. This is a major issue relative to TJ, as evidenced by the multiple, non-trivial sources that reference it. KevinPuj 15:47, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion[edit]

Before reverting, please partake in discussion on the talk page where several issues need to be addressed. [1] ~Rangeley (talk) 21:45, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edit[edit]

I noticed that the section "Retirement of Elizabeth V. Lodal" was removed here. I believe this section should be included because it fits these criteria. It is neutral; it states a chronological version of the events that occurred in 2006. It is all verifiable, as the information has been published by a reliable source. It is not original research; all of the information has been previously published. Wikipedia guidelines strongly support the inclusion of this section.

I need your assistance in moving forward. I'm working with a version of the section that we can all reach a consensus on here. There are two parts where the article needs citations. I've looked extensively for the interview where Mrs. Lodal makes the statement referenced about her retirement and I cannot find it. I also need sources for her commendation in "praise from the Governor of Virginia, the Fairfax County School Board (which named a second facility in the school system for her), the TJ PTSA, and local newspaper editorials." I could only find the General Assembly resolution commending her original retirement here and Tom Davis' remarks in Congress commending her which I have copied from the Congressional record (it does not easily allow direct links) and placed here.

Thank you. KevinPuj 19:29, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop blanking the Lodal section[edit]

Hello, Mr. Lodal. Please stop removing sourced material from the TJHSST page. Instead, please discuss the text on the talk page here: talk page. What exactly about the section do you find false or defamatory? Thank you. ~a (usertalkcontribs) 05:51, 18 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
