One must be familiar with a topic before one can provide any facts pertaining to that topic. I am very familiar with the people, places, or things that I have written about. This is not a conflict of interest, it is a depth of knowledge. In the future, I will endeavor to provide reference links. However, in the case of facts where I am the reference source, this may not be possible. Although much of the Wikipedia content is opinion rather than fact, I believe an encyclopedia serves best when it contains only factual information. The many thousands of pages that take a political position on an issue should be purged. Don't you agree?
