Information icon Hello, I'm SailingInABathTub. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Demand response have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. This is very strange, Why is this? I added a source from Loadshedding.com 77.249.201.15 (talk) 10:50, 19 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Loadshedding.com is not a reliable source. Please read WP:LINKSPAM and Wikipedia:Reliable sources. Additionally, as you are only adding links from this website, if you are the owner or an employee of the site, you must disclose this - see WP:COI. I think youre mistaken? The articles are about Load Shedding, and you're telling me Loadshedding.com is not a reliable source? 77.249.201.15 (talk) 17:01, 19 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The site is not a reliable source because it primarily exists to sell a product or service, see WP:VENDOR specifically. SailingInABathTub ~~🛁~~ 18:13, 19 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No it updates Load Shedding Schedules and Load Shedding news in South Africa - and the links were linked to government rewritten posts. You might wanna check the source before you remove things without proper researching. 77.249.201.15 (talk) 18:16, 19 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to South African energy crisis. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. SailingInABathTub ~~🛁~~ 14:50, 20 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did at Rolling blackout, you may be blocked from editing. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings.
