Hiding category assignments in sandboxed articles

[edit]

I noticed today that J-beda hid the category assignments that I put in this article. Is it standard practice to hide category assignments in sandboxed articles prior to their "deployment" in the main namespace? I don't want to hide them because I believe that the practice of not hiding them can...

  • ...show that an article is being prepared for the topic in question, and therefore eliminate the extra work of article duplication and eventual merging.
  • ...allow an opportunity, obscure as it may be, for users to retrieve information about the topic in question even though the article isn't yet deployed in the main namespace.
  • ...allow an opportunity, obscure as it may be, for users to "get in on the ground floor" of the article's formation and help me to deploy an article that can be considered complete or nearly so.
