The article Woolley Moor United F.C. has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

not notable, not at high enough level of English football, per WP:FOOTY. As at Woolley moor united fc

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Delsion23 (talk) 00:05, 21 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Finding those old newspaper sources can be challenging. However more and more of the old newspapers are coming on line. Otherwise you may actually have to visit a library and use a microfilm reader or something to read the newspapers. Just having a score listed does make them notable, but if you can find a story on them, it would show clear notability. Librarians may be able to help you find indexes to the old newspapers. Use of Wikipedia for promotion[edit]

I see that you once wrote on another user's talk page "Having a Wikipedia page would also increase interest on the club as it looks more professional. We have people working round the clock to push the club forward and back to where it belongs at a higher level." This is a good example of one of the things that Wikipedia is not for. Wikipedia does not exist to promote or publicise organisations, to make them look "more professional", or to "push [them] forward and ... to ... a higher level".
