Speedy deletion of "Eruption clothing"

[edit]

A page you created, Eruption clothing, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is obvious advertising or promotional material.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. Falcon8765 (talk) 19:38, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Eruption clothing requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Removing Speedy at Eruption clothing

[edit]

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles you created, as you did with Eruption clothing. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please do the following:

  1. Place {{hangon}} on the page. Please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag(s).
  2. Make your case on the article's talk page.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 20:05, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Eruption clothing. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 20:08, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with Eruption clothing. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 20:29, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there Johnbarrick! I saw that you added a {{hangon}} tag to a page which you created, Eruption clothing. This is good, but in the process you removed the tag requesting deletion under CSD A7. Even though there is a hangon on the page, the deletion template should remain there. But don't worry, this doesn't mean that the page is going to get deleted. Make sure you edit the talk page of the page nominated for deletion, located at Talk:Eruption clothing, administrators will look at your reason why the page should remain before they decide what to do. Thanks - SDPatrolBot (talk) 20:48, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

deleted, and why

[edit]

There needs to be some evidence that the company is actually notable, according to WP:ORG. The article as deleted, which did not show it, was in addition merely in the tone of an advertisement. It could equally well have been speedy deleted for either reason. You need references providing substantial coverage from 3rd party independent published reliable sources, print or online, but not blogs or press releases, or material derived from press releases. If , and only if, you really have them, you could try re-creating the article--but not if it's going to be like the ones just deleted by two separate admins.
