Did you make an edit from an IP address on 16:11, 17 December 2013‎ 152.216.7.5 (talk)‎ . . (6,316 bytes) from Falls Church? I have no problems with that. So, let work together to add a picture to the J.K. article. Geraldshields11 (talk) 17:37, 12 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of Interest?

[edit]

If you are John Koskinen, Wikipedia rules say that you shouldn't be editing articles about yourself. I remember you from Duke Universiy (Class of 1961), and would be happy to make edits on your behalf. Lou Sander (talk) 18:16, 22 April 2016 (UTC) Hi Lou,[reply]

Thanks for the note. It's an interesting rule about self-editing since, over time, I have managed to correct a number of factual errors in my Wikipedia bio, including most recently my birth date. I only check about once a year or so to see what people have added, especially since I walked into the battle over the IRS a couple of years ago. My attempted edits earlier today were just to correct a couple of obvious errors and add some additional information to the background of the impeachment debate. So, I would be happy to copy out the existing entry and show you the edits that I think would provide a clearer picture of the state of play to anyone interested. All the best.

John

Send the stuff and I'll work on it. You can go to my user page and email me by clicking a link in the left margin ('Email this user', under 'Tools'). Bear in mind that everything in Wikipedia is supposed to be referenced to something already published. This rule is not always observed, but in the case of biographies of living persons, it is pretty strongly enforced by many who look at the articles, especially if anything can be seen as negative, disparaging, etc. Lou Sander (talk) 03:19, 23 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
