Your Windows 7 article edit

[edit]

There is a long discussion about the accuracy of the current section on MinWin in the article. Please feel free to join in the discussion on the talk page. Btw, I agree with your position, and I am the one who started the current "dispute" to get the section changed, though I believe a consensus has almost been reached to change the ""A minimalistic variation of the Windows kernel, known as MinWin, is being developed for use in Windows 7."" line to "Another ongoing development project at Microsoft, known as MinWin, aims to componentize the Windows kernel and reduce the dependencies with a view to carving out the minimal set of components required to build a self-contained kernel as well as reducing the disk footprint and memory usage. However, it is not known whether the Windows 7 kernel is a derivative of the MinWin kernel or not" It took a lot to convince the few people who insist they are Windows experts and refuse to acknowledge valid, overwhelming, evidence that they are wrong to change it this much. So, if you would support this change i I would be extremely grateful. -- Anthony S. Castanza (talk) 02:48, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
