Conflict of Interest caution to me: inappropriate

Hi Jooojay: If you posted this Conflict of Interest notice without already being familiar with my previous statements of independence, then I am sorry you are jumping to an unfair assumption without checking courtesy norms first. But it sounds like you may already know I have made clear that I have no relationship whatsoever with the Public Art in Public Places archives, and I would caution you against intimidation if this is the case. I will nevertheless respond to you courteously: with 200+ edits I am encouraged by WP to contribute such valid useful and relevant references (and EL in lists, where appropriate per WP:EL guidelines), including those to the extensive Public Art in Public Places archives. WP articles have benefited from data and references I have contributed, and I am sure you know you are at liberty to discuss any SPECIFIC objection you may have about any SPECIFIC REFERENCE on that article's talk page. I believe my contributions stand on their own merit, and I am always grateful for editing advice from generous fellow editors. Respectfully, and wishing you a nice day, TashaB (talk) 20:29, 9 September 2020 (UTC)

@Shabehr: I see no statement on your talk page - and therefore the COI notice is still valid concern. Deleting it off your talk page doesn't resolve the issue, and other editors will probably leave you new COI notices as a result. Please stop using the "Public Art in Public Places" as a reference, it's not a reliable source (see WP:RS). Also adding inline external links is not appropriate per Wikipedia guidelines, as a mentioned in the earlier post on your talk page (which is now gone). Jooojay (talk) 23:06, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
Reply Greetings - Yes, I'm sure anyone would delete your unwarranted (and discourteous) CoI notice on their talk page, and I was completely justified to do so due to your carelessly false claims. As I wrote above, your claim is inappropriate - the issue was long since addressed, and if you truly wished to send me a "gentle caution," you would have respected this. Why are you doing this? You have also just added another caution to me about "adding inline external links" - I don't know what you refer to here, because WP:EL makes clear that inline external links are highly discouraged and/or prohibited, and it seems you are claiming I have recently done so. Are you perhaps confusing IN-TEXT ONLINE REFERENCES with in-text external links? There's quite a difference and I suggest you review the WP:EL guidelines, including regarding ELs in Lists -->>> within-text online references/citations are legitimate and widespread in WP, whereas ELs on their own you must surely know are highly discouraged. Once again, I would ask that you stick to SPECIFIC issues on SPECIFIC WP articles, and please be more careful to avoid such serious claims against fellow editors you cannot support - they are hurtful and unproductive, and tend to backfire. TashaB (talk) 18:51, 10 September 2020 (UTC)
@Shabehr: I am really confused what the big deal is about a COI notice that was on your talk page? Perhaps this needs to be referred elsewhere since you were not able to participate and your talk page shows no history. If you have no COI to this website, you simply just say that on your talk page and it's over. You had mentioned WP:EL, please take a look at WP:EL#ADV, WP:SPAM, WP:COI - "Public Art in Public Places" is trying to generate traffic to their site via Wikipedia and is not a reliable source, so why are you repeatedly using it here as a source and placing external links inline? I am specifically referring to your edits in the Millard Sheets article - but I can see you have done this in many articles. Jooojay (talk) 20:33, 10 September 2020 (UTC)
Thanks for your reply - I wasn't really aware that such a justification was appropriate on my talk page, but now I guess so (!) and will take your advice, thank you. Now, can you explain why you refer to the Public Art in Public Places archive as "not a reliable source"? I'd like you to be quite specific, because I've understood this org as having satisfied all the WP reliable source policies, and after a careful search I found no evidence of any criticism of the org's archive or website (fact-based, public/open/free, non-commercial, active, extensive, etc.). Best, TashaB (talk) 20:51, 10 September 2020 (UTC)
(talk page stalker)@Shabehr: it's just plain fishy how often you cite the org Public Art in Public places. This edit adds their director to an article in about six places alone. Add that to the linkspamming you have been doing and it becomes what we call WP:DUCK, i.e. your agenda seems to be clearly to use Wikipedia to promote that organization. Regarding the reliability of the org, and in particular the database, it appears to be written by two people. There is very little mention of it anywhere on the web. As a source it raises some questions. When added repeatedly to many more articles, it raises many questions.ThatMontrealIP (talk) 21:13, 10 September 2020 (UTC)
@ThatMontrealIP: I believe you may be a more senior editor then myself and I was reading over WP:COICOIN, would it make sense to ask for further guidance there on this situation there? Or perhaps elsewhere? The user has deleted more than one COI notice without response, and there is obviously still an issue happening with spam and now various uncivil activities. Jooojay (talk) 23:24, 10 September 2020 (UTC)
Re: COIN, I would wait a day or so to see what happens; this looks like a self-extinguishing fire to me. PS: They are actually free to remove any notices they like from talk pages, except for active blocks. ThatMontrealIP (talk) 23:27, 10 September 2020 (UTC)

MOS:HYPOCORISM

Hi. Regarding this edit of yours, my understanding of MOS:HYPOCORISM is that because Dashiel obviously shortens to Dash, that we should not mention "better known by the name Dash Snow" in the first line. You appear to think differently, so are you please able to explain where you think MOS:HYPOCORISM specifies this? I ask because I thought I understood this one. Thanks. -Lopifalko (talk) 07:41, 22 September 2020 (UTC)

Hi @Lopifalko:, I wasn't familiar with the name Dashiell having a known nickname of "Dash". If you look at the MOS:HYPOCORISM example, I think this fits the first and third example under "Pseudonyms, stage names, nicknames, hypocorisms, and common names". That was my thought at least, I am open to other suggestions. Jooojay (talk) 19:58, 22 September 2020 (UTC)

Mistake re: red link article added to a list

Hi.I Think you had a mistake because you can search Navid Biglari In google. انرژی مثبت بند (talk) 03:57, 26 September 2020 (UTC)

The issue is that they are not currently notable on Wikipedia and don't have an article. I left you various links with instructions. Google has no relevance in a discussion about red links. Jooojay (talk) 04:00, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
