Sniper Joe Images

[edit]

Listen here, buddy! Those images were animated to add a little class and originality to that page that I'd helped craft into what it is today! Why did you have to go and "convert" my beautiful, hand-ripped GIF images into ugly, stationary PNGs? PNGs, which I might add, which seem to have flubbed both Hammer Joe and Apache Joe's images slightly! If there's some new policy I'm not aware of, please...enlighten me. Otherwise, I'd like my old, "ugly" GIFs back where they belong. At the very least, the animated ones. I can sort of see your point with the stationary ones like Skeleton Joe or Return Sniper Joe. ~ Joseph Collins (U)(T)(C) 22:08, 26 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There are two reasons why I did that:
  1. Animated images like these are very distracting from the actual text of the article. Animation should be used sparingly.
  2. Your claim of fair use for these images is shaky when you use animated copies. Animated copies needlessly increase the amount of copyrighted work we are using, which is not in accordance with Wikipedia:Non-free content. To be safe, you really ought to go through these images and add a fair use rationale to each one.

A quick note...

[edit]

Hi Joseph Collins, I just have something to tell you, about RPM and whatnot. A while ago, Ares decided to have a joke and threaten me, saying that he was you, which I ended up believing for a few weeks until I found a flaw in his masquerade. I know you probably don't want anything to do with RPM anymore, after what happened, but I've wanted to tell you this since I found Ares out.

Uh... If I may be permitted a small acronym... "WtF"! Why would Ares do that? And why me, exactly? What did he do? I'd like more information if that's alright. ~ Joseph Collins (U)(T)(C) 19:15, 4 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Is there anywhere that we can arrange a secure meeting, so I can pass the log of what happened, to you? --Reploidof20xx (TALK) 06:46, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That's a good question. XD Mm... Got any instant messengers? Or even IRC or something? IRC would probably be easiest... ~ Joseph Collins (U)(T)(C) 22:02, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You can catch me on IRC [1] or on AIM as swnxxx --Reploidof20xx (TALK) 09:34, 6 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not a vote

[edit]

We do not vote on things here. Consensus is found within the weight of the argument, not the number of people. Also, note WP:CON states: "When consensus is referred to in Wikipedia discussion, it always means 'within the framework of established policy and practice'. Even a majority of a limited group of editors will almost never outweigh community consensus on a wider scale, as documented within policies." I suggest that you start a discussion on WP:CVG if you believe that you have some sort of basis for keeping them. TTN (talk) 19:59, 17 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nintendo Power Contest Winner

[edit]

I saw your post on the talk section for Son of the Mask asking about the Nintendo Power winner.

Here's an interview that he did: http://www.destructoid.com/meet-the-winner-of-nintendo-power-s-the-mask-ii-contest-287112.phtml

Plus, he's a video that he posted: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4QN4U9TyTsQ

Long story short. He didn't do Son of the Mask. He took a $5,000 money replacement before Son of the Mask even started production. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ComedyMan4 (talkcontribs) 04:31, 5 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Oh! Wow, I'd forgotten all about that until I saw this. Man, that's pretty boss! I'm glad things turned out so well for him. And I definitely agree with what he said: Given how things turned out, he made the right choice to take money instead of be an extra. Heh heh.
Thanks for letting me know about this! I really appreciate it!
